With the movie itself only a month and a half away from release, we finally get to see all the pieces come together in the story trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. It doesn’t give too much away (thankfully) but I do think it gives a better impression of what to expect from the plot.
Seeing Han Solo (played by Alden Ehrenreich) , Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) and Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) with a sparkling new Millennium Falcon basically covers everything fans would want in relation to an origin story for these characters. If the rest of the movie comes up to a similar level of the trailers so far, the extra time spent on it between directors could be the smartest move Lucasfilm have made since Rogue One.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will arrive in cinemas from May 25th.

Yes, this latest trailer has me much more looking forward to the movie. 🙂

My issue with this film is that Harrison Ford isn’t in it. Should have focused on another part of the franchise tbh.

I think if they pull it off and the movie works with a new Han and Lando, we might see the start of more stories using new actors to replace the old. No more CGI characters unless necessary.
There had been talk of Boba Fett or Obi-Wan movies being the third of these spinoffs but we won’t really know until were closer to Episode IX I suppose.
