Many early adopters of the Xbox One would have been pleasantly surprised in the last couple of days thanks to a little gift from Microsoft in the form of a code for the Xbox One version of the 360 classic Limbo. What was more surprising to many was that no one even knew that the game was coming; the developer Playdead is currently working on their next title Inside.
However this happened, I don’t think anyone is complaining as this is a brilliant way for Microsoft to show their appreciation AND get players ready for Inside when it eventually arrives.
For those who haven’t played the game before, it is a platformer with an incredible atmosphere and a very dark sense of humour. The game itself is to all intents and purposes identical to the 360 version. Perhaps a few more pixels are thrown in but it is not something that really makes much difference due to the art style. Achievements appear to be much the same though there are more points to share with each one now the game has a full 1000 Gamerscore to give away.
Turn the lights down, the volume up and really be taken in by the amazing world created within this game.
