Elite: Dangerous lands on Xbox One October 6

A few days ago Frontier Developments founder David Braben announced on Reddit that the Xbox One version of Elite: Dangerous will officially launch October 6th of this year. Those who paid to be part of the preview program will have their versions upgraded to the release copy for free but their progress will be reset with in game credits as compensation.

If you’re still undecided about the game, it may be worth considering that the price could go up once the game launches.

  1. So is there any way to hook up with friends on this one? I haven’t been following Elite Dangerous too much but how good would it be to watch each others backs during salvage runs etc?

    • The game always let players interact with each other if they chose to play in the shared universe (not solo mode) but as part of the Wings update, players could better coordinate with each other and share in mission rewards. So, yes! 🙂
