The popular free to play shooter World of Tanks will be making the transition to Xbox One later this year after success on the Xbox 360.

As reported by IGN, this version will also allow both X1 and 360 gamers to square off against each other in battle thanks to shared servers. In addition, purchases and progress made in the 360 version will transition over to the new game.

We’ve previously looked at the game during the 360 beta and it’s an excellent alternative to the more reflex driven shooters on the market. If you still have your old console, it’s worth checking out while the wait begins.
