The trailer flood here continues with the full teaser trailer to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The biggest potential reference in the trailer (towards the end) could be pointing to the Batman classic The Dark Knight Returns but fans have also noticed what might be references to Injustice: Gods Among Us. Seeing Ben Affleck in his Batsuit glory certainly evokes the first story.
Both stories provide means for the two characters to square off but I bet there are more hints hidden way for the more knowledgeable of fans. And it hasn’t even touched on Wonder Woman or Aquaman so I’m sure we’re going to see more closer to its release date.
The movie will arrive in cinemas in 2016.

I still can’t help thinking this is an awful idea. I’m sure it’ll be huge, though.

I can understand how you feel… it does seem almost like a desperate move to attempt to get an Avengers level movie without the other movies needed to build up the hype.
The other thing is there’s already been a good Batman v Superman movie, the the two part adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns. So its going to need to be damned good to beat that.

I haven’t watched the two part adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns so I thought this trailer looked pretty damn good. Nothing is original in Hollywood so of course Warner Brothers noticed how insanely well the Avengers movies were doing and went – we’ll we’ve got Justice League!
