Broken Age’s parts finally come together

Double Fine’s Broken Age, the old school adventure and gaming Kickstarter pioneer, will finally become the complete package tomorrow when the second half is released to the public.

Originally funded back in early 2012, the game signalled a return to the genre by Tim Schafer, creator of Lucasarts classics such as Grim Fandango and Full Throttle. The original funding target of $400K was eclipsed by the final figure of $3.4million.

However, that did not mean it was smooth sailing; the game ended up being split into two “acts” with the first being released early last year. There’s been some disgruntled backers over that time but now the game is officially complete we can see for ourselves if the wait was worth it.

Owners of the game should see it updating via Steam tomorrow while backers have the opportunity to access it early via beta codes.
