The last month of Xbox 360 titles for Games with Gold is here and I think the team made a pretty good choice with the game to close it with. Full details can be found here via Xbox Wire. The games in question are:

• Gods Will Fall (Xbox, Sep 1 to 30)
• Double Kick Heroes (Xbox, Sep 16 to Oct 15)
• Thrillville (Xbox BC, Sep 1 to 15)
• Portal 2 (Xbox 360 BC, Sep 16 to 30)

The big one (for me) is Portal 2 – I’ve already played it but it’s an amazing game that takes what’s great with the original Portal and dials up the narrative and leads it into some unexpected directions. Where it goes with next month’s offering is still anyone’s guess but my guess at the moment is a lot more smaller games from the Xbox One era will get their time. The team at XboxEra did hear a rumour though of one more batch of backward compatible games coming once the Activision-Blizzard buyout is complete but if it’s true it seems likely they’ll go straight to Game Pass… but you never know!
