The end of the month is here and the next round of games has been announced for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. I’m happy to see what’s here because a. I’ve played some before and like them a lot, b. I’ve read a lot about them and c. I played the demo years ago and forgot to get the game. The games in question are:

• Shantae and The Pirate’s Curse (Xbox One, Jun 1-30)
• Coffee Talk (Xbox One, Jun 16-Jul 15)
• Destroy All Humans! (Xbox BC, Jun 1-15)
• Sine Mora (Xbox 360 BC, Jun 16-30)

I’m a big fan of Shantae and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a platform game with some old school design combined with a truckload of charm. I would not have known about Coffee Talk at all if not for Pete’s fantastic post about the game over at MoeGamer which pretty much guarantees I’ll check it out. Destroy All Humans! is a fun choice from the dark recesses of the original Xbox’s back catalogue and just in time for the remake/reboot which arrives soon. Finally Sine Mora is the kind of scrolling shoot-em-up I didn’t see enough of here in stores but I found out (too late) that they were all available on Play-Asia instead.

It looks like a good selection and all the games in there should keep players occupied for a few hours. 🙂
