The end of this month heralds the return on the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) to occasionally sunny Melbourne and it’s returned bigger and better. With a new location in the heart of the city and covering more than twice the area than last year it is going to make an even bigger impact.
With the event coinciding with the busy end of the Spring Racing Carnival and the Melbourne Cup running only a couple of days later I won’t be surprised to see Phar Lap cosplay. Those coming into PAX from overseas are going to think us quite mad here.
Once again I’ll be there blogging away. With an opening keynote from Bethesda’s Pete Hines and panels with Cloud Imperium Games’ Chris Roberts (Star Citizen) and Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchford (Battleborn, Homeworld HD) there’s going to be plenty to see and that’s not even covering the showfloor.
In addition to that, to help with the coverage this year there will be a new contributor to the site. They bring in their own unique experience in gaming (especially ‘real’ RPGs) to the site and I can’t wait to see what they find at PAX over the course of the weekend.
