After opening my own copy of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, I’ve got to say I am totally impressed with what CD Projekt RED have packed into a single console game case.
Not only is the game’s Blu-Ray in there but there’s also a soundtrack CD, the game instructions, a mini guide to the world of The Witcher that includes codes to unlock bonus content and also a fold out map of the region.
The last item worth mentioning is a note that is basically a commitment by CDPR to ensure you will get a substantial amount of DLC for free in addition to long term support for the game.
In an industry where the lifetime of some titles may not stretch past a single year, it’s courageous of CDPR to not only make that statement but to put it right there in the box with your game. But they’ve always been willing to go that additional step further; you just have to see what they’ve done for previous games or even GOG.com. You can’t help but applaud them.
The game is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Now please excuse me while I go back to hunting this griffin a base commander just told me about…
It is an incredible feat of engineering this. Though I have struggled with the combat, especially when enemies seem to constrict your movement with full pronged assault. But I feel as though my perseverance is finally being rewarded.

One of those rare occasions I actually regret not buying the physical copy (I purchased digital). Just an amazing experience.
