Celebrating 30 years of the original game’s release, Brian Fargo and inXile Entertainment are revisiting dungeon crawling with The Bard’s Tale IV.
With previous successes Wasteland 2 (released last year) and Torment: Tides of Numenera coming soon, it seems natural for the team to continue their success through crowdfunding again.
During this first day, the game has already reached half its funding goal of 1.25 million dollars. As a bonus, backers in the first 24 hours of the Kickstarter can get Wasteland 2, The Witcher or The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for free which adds plenty of incentive.
The game will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and is scheduled to be ready by October 2016.
Details of the Kickstarter can be found here.
