What are you playing in your “Pile of Shame”?

With all the good games coming out I’ve been trying to limit what new games I pick up. The reason for this is because I have a heap of games I still haven’t finished and really should.

Games I have pre-ordered so far for later in the year are:

Forza Horizon 3.

Forza Horizon 3 Lamborghini on Beach

Battlefield 1 (Xbox One).

Battlefield_1_Air

No Man’s Sky isn’t pre-ordered as yet but I will no doubt pick this up to (PC).

No Man's Sky

Over the weekend I finished Metro 2033. This is one seriously underrated game. I was very glad I finally got back to it. When it comes to my pile of shame I have still quite a few games I want to get through. I’m currently working through Quantum Break.

Here are the games I really need to try and finish:

Quantum Break.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine (2nd expansion).

Metro: Last Light.

Fallout 4.

Sleeping Dogs.

Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I know there is more but that is the immediate list. Due to time restraints I really don’t think it is a worthy investment buying heaps of games later this year. I will probably cave in at some point but so far these are the games I’m putting on hold to purchase later (not buying at launch):

Gears of War 4.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Titanfall 2.

What is currently sitting in your pile of shame and what do you really want to finish?

  1. I still have to work through all of the Fallout 4 content – there’s a lot of game to work through! And then there’s The Witcher 3. RPG’s have been my kryptonite lately… I used to plough through them quickly but it’s been a bit more difficult of late. I still have launch copies of Pillars of Eternity and Shadowrun: Dragonfall… I will get there… in the end. 🙂

    • Open world games like Fallout are awesome in that there is so much to do but then you end up deviating from the main campaign path and the game takes more and more of your time. Great value for money but not so great when you want to find out what happens at the end of the story. 🙂

    • What is Mirror’s Edge Catalyst like? I had a very quick look at it via the EA Access trial but never got around to buying it. Fallout 4 is a huge time sink, especially when you spend a fair portion of your time upgrading settlements 🙂

      • Last time I played Fallout 4, I had just started learning how settlements work… I can tell I’m going to waste a lot of time with those lol

I’m just playing the orginal Mirror’s Edge right now, but I do own Catalyst (I have a weakness for games that come with Collector’s Edition statues 🙂 ). I’m trying to get the speed run achievemnts in the original before moving on to Catalyst.

        • Ah nice – good luck with getting the speed run achievements. I haven’t played Mirrors Edge that much either, come to think of it. Just one of those games I missed.
