Clubs now available on Xbox One

Months after its reveal at the E3 Microsoft event, Clubs functionality has finally arrived for Xbox One users in the form of the Xbox Holiday Update. Allowing users to set up their own communities within Xbox Live, the new feature helps foster the kinds of gaming groups often created on Facebook for organising large scale events. Users can create up to three public or private clubs which are searchable however up to twenty hidden groups can be created that can only be discovered through invitation.

Full details of the update can be found here at Major Nelson’s site which also goes into the additional features such as “Looking For Group”, achievement rarity and group messaging. The Arena features though will continue to remain in the preview program (now known as Xbox Insider) for the time being.

We’re testing the waters ourselves and can be found by searching for “The Late Night Session” – feel free to stop by and say hello. 🙂
