The new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is pretty great. Not only does it already show that the Sony/Marvel collaboration coming together but it appears to be deviating from the usual story of heroes facing world ending threats. In this case it looks like we have Peter Parker aka Spider-Man wanting to prove himself worthy of being an Avenger but not always getting it right.
There’s also a great piece on Polygon that highlights its strengths over the recent Justice League trailer.
Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives in cinemas from July 7.
A new trailer also arrived for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and I think it does an even better job of the first in establishing a universe that differs greatly from the grime and junk that makes Star Wars what it is. Some scenes look like paintings that have come to life, but in an awesome kind of way. It definitely looks like a film from the same minds behind The Fifth Element but now backed up with modern special effects.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets will arrive in cinemas from July 21.

Spiderman: Homecoming looks pretty good. Visually Valerian looks great but I’m not sure how it will hold up.
