Not only did the team at Frontier Developments expand the functionality behind exploration and mining in the latest update to Elite Dangerous (Beyond Chapter Four) but they also produced some handy tutorials to explain how they now work.

Though it’s not necessary to employ the techniques discussed in the videos, if you want to maximise the amount of credits you can now earn it’s useful to see what might work for you. In my case I was able to make more credits in exploration from scanning fewer systems simply because I used the all the tools to get a complete set of results.
