It’s more than a week until the end of the year but the Xbox team have brought us some early gifts in the form of news on the first Games with Gold titles for 2019:

• Celeste (Xbox One, Jan 1-31)
• WRC6 (Xbox One, Jan 15-Feb 15)
• Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (Xbox 360, Jan 1-15)
• Far Cry 2 (Xbox 360, Jan 16-31)

Celeste is a very highly rated platformer that slipped under my radar when it was released at the start of the year but now with having time spent this year on Dead Cells and Shantae it might be good to throw another one into the mix.

Having a Lara Croft themed twin stick shooter might not seem like a good idea at first but Guardian of Light turned out to be a really enjoyable game with its fair share of puzzles too.

And for anyone who likes catching malaria and starting fires, hopefully Far Cry 2 will scratch that itch before the police or quarantine services knock on your door. 😉
