The ever increasing next gen hype train is bearing down on us with the Xbox Series X and PS5 set to be released later this year. If you are like me, checking social media and gaming websites is a habit now in the quest for more news on anything relating to the next gen.

A couple of days ago the 23rd July was confirmed for the Xbox digital show. Coupled with Ubisoft’s digital show on the 13th we have a couple of presentations to look forward to.

Here are some of the things I’m pretty keen to see announced:

1. Pre-order information and a release date for the Xbox Series X.
2. A good deep dive on the technical specs for the Series X.
3. Forza Motorsport 8 details.
4. There are tonnes of great games in the current console generation. I’d love to see these games get confirmed updates for the Series X in the lead up to launch.
5. Microsoft announcing they’ve acquired the Warner Brothers gaming division.
6. Halo Infinite.
7. A Fable 4 announcement would also be very cool.
