Over the weekend, Frontier Developments announced that the next update to Elite Dangerous: Horizons, called “The Commanders”, will enter beta the week following February 26. The update will allow players to finally crew up in a ship together and will include a “commander creator” to allow players to customise their own in-game avatar.

Hopefully this will mean for those players flying the bigger ships in the game, the large SRV and fighter hangers you have installed won’t be going to waste anymore. It could certainly change things up a bit if ships could quickly drop a couple of fighters when being attacked by pirates.
