More improvements coming to Mass Effect Andromeda

As per my initial thoughts here one of the main criticisms Mass Effect Andromeda has faced is the very average facial and body animation. It seems Bioware is listening very carefully to the feedback and has provided a statement a few days ago:

Just now a weapon has been hinted at being added with the next patch as well. I do hope Bioware continues to improve this great, but flawed game.

Now I just need to stop playing Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City so I can get back to this game.

  1. You’re one of the first bloggers that I’ve seen call Mass Effect: Andromeda great. I couldn’t agree more! It’s a great, but flawed game and I can’t wait for it to be patched up.

    • Yes it seems the core audience is probably more forgiving than the casual crowd. Mass Effect has always been one of those games that is a slow burn – it builds gradually over time. I’m only 20-25 hours in and the game is starting to really open up now. A lot of the Bioware games seems to start out slow and build up the rpg elements over time. The only exception to this would have been Mass Effect 2. The start of that was simply outstanding and really set the scene and tone for the rest of the game.

  2. I’m still working through it and trying to decide which side of the fence I’ll be on when it comes to the game. There are some moments in the game that had had a huge “Wow!” effect on me, but damn there are also a few bugs and design issues in there too. I do think with some polish/patches it will be a much more positive result. 🙂

  3. I know it isn’t out until later in the year but playing this on Project Scorpio would be something else. I’m also tempted to hold off a few months and wait for it to be patched appropriately and play in 4k 🙂
