Hit the Battlefield with November 2018’s Xbox Games with Gold

It’s a late announcement by the Xbox team for the next month of Games with Gold but it’s a good one with some EA goodness and a long overdue Ubisoft title too. Games inbound are:

  • Battlefield 1 (Xbox One, November 1-15)
  • Race the Sun (Xbox One, November 16-30)
  • Assassin’s Creed (Xbox 360, November 1-30)
  • Dante’s Inferno (Xbox 360, November 16-December 15)

EA have been giving away a lot of the DLC for Battlefield 1 recently but it’s still a big surprise for it to show on Games with Gold. Even if the MP side isn’t your thing the War Stories are probably the best campaign DICE have ever done in a Battlefield game that wasn’t Bad Company.

Race the Sun was released on PC a few years ago and might get a new lease on life here thanks to this. The trailer makes me think this is what you’d get if you crossed an endless runner with Thumper and I totally love the visual style too.

It’s amazing it has taken this long for the original Assassin’s Creed to make it here. I’m not a big fan of the series but this was the only one I ever bought so nice to now have a digital copy!

Dante’s Inferno was EA’s attempt at a God of War type game and was developed by the team behind Dead Space. Unfortunately it just didn’t catch on at the time and a lot of people probably have forgotten about it since then. But it’s different enough to the other games here that it makes for a good part of the overall mix.

What do you think of this month’s games? Anything that stands out from the pack? Feel free to comment below. 🙂
