Recently announced by Major Nelson are the first batch of Xbox’s Games with Gold titles for the new year. What we have to look forward to include:
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III (Xbox One, Jan 1 – Jan 31)
- Zombi (Xbox One, Jan 16 – Feb 15)
- Tomb Raider Underworld (Xbox 360, Jan 1 – Jan 15)
- Army of Two (Xbox 360, Jan 16 – Jan 31)
Tomb Raider Underworld I think is interesting in that it is the last of the old school games before the reboot. There are some aspects of open world design with hub areas to traverse so it might appeal to players wanting more focused tombs of old to raid.
Zombi might be remembered more for its WiiU incarnation but the original game concept has a history dating right back to 1986 where it was Ubisoft’s very first published game. I actually remember reading reviews of that version in Computer and Video Games which once again betrays my age…
