The next month of Xbox’s Games with Gold has been announced and combines two 2017 titles for Xbox One with a pair of old classics from the Xbox 360.
- Assault Android Cactus (Xbox One, July 1-31)
- Death Squared (Xbox One, July 16 – Aug 15)
- Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown (Xbox 360, July 1-15)
- Splinter Cell Conviction (Xbox 360, July 16-31)
Both shooter Assault Android Cactus and puzzler Death Squared support multiplayer but I think I’ll be likely checking the former out first simply because I think it’s time I need another twin stick shooter in my life
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown represented the last hurrah for Sega’s fighting franchise which during its peak was a viable alternative to other lobg running series like Tekken and Dead or Alive.
Though it does occasionally stray a little too far from what made the prior games great, Splinter Cell Conviction might still win players over through its Jason Bourne feel and excellent presentation.
