Mark of the Ninja Remastered rewards long time fans

I was sorting through my Xbox One digital library last night and was surprised to find that Mark of the Ninja Remastered – the recent 4K friendly version of Klei Entertainment’s awesome platforming stealth-em-up had appeared in my list. Turns out owners of the earlier PC or Xbox 360 versions (the special editions with all the DLC) are being treated to a complimentary upgrade which is a brilliant gesture. Others can upgrade for a reduced price.

Personally I think it is huge that I can play a better version on Xbox One simply because I had owned the 360 version. I know it’s not the first time this has happened on console – for Xbox I think it started back with Castle Crashers years ago – but seeing a number of developers still doing this is quite a generous move and hopefully helps convince people to remain loyal to the platform as well as revisit their libraries of games. And this is one game worth looking at – I think it’s pretty awesome. 🙂

Mark of the Ninja Remastered is out now for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch.
