The next wave of games for Xbox Games with Gold were just announced on Major Nelson’s site and there’s at least one game here that’s going to get plenty of recommendations here. It’s a late announcement for this month but still worth checking out.
The following games will be available:
- Marooners (May 1-31, Xbox One)
- The Golf Club 2019 (May 16-June 15, Xbox One)
- Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon (May 1-15, Xbox 360 BC)
- Comic Jumper (May 16-31, Xbox 360 BC)
With EA apparently getting out of golf games it was impressive to see another title fill the void and The Golf Club 2019 certainly does that. Grocs was impressed with it – you can read his review here. Comic Jumper was a fun XBLA game from Twisted Pixel of ‘Splosion Man fame that looks like it borrows ideas from Sega’s Comix Zone but it’s all done with its own unique sense of humour.
I’ve never played an Earth Defense Force game before so curious to check it out and see if shooting up giant bugs might be something I could get into… what do you think? 😉
The Late Night Session 
Great golf game and well worth your time. I must admit the rest of the titles don’t enthral me too much this month.
