Just announced in Xbox Wire is news of what’s coming next month for Xbox Gold subscribers in October and it all falls nicely in line with Halloween. Full details are here but in short the games are:

• Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut (Xbox One, Oct 1-31)
• Maid of Sker (Xbox One, Oct 16-Nov 15)
• Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (Xbox BC, Oct 1-15)
• Costume Quest (Xbox 360 BC, Oct 16-31)

I’m not too familiar with these games apart from knowing that Costume Quest is another well regarded game from Double Fine, who are giving players a hefty bonus to Game Pass in October with the arrival of Brutal Legend to the service. The timing of these particular Games with Gold titles is great and having a themed selection adds a little fun to the regular monthly cadence of titles too.

With new consoles arriving in November I wonder if there will be any more surprises in store for subscribers when the next month arrives?
