Next month’s Xbox Games with Gold were revealed a little earlier than expected thanks to some observant fans and the official video below confirms it. With a debut game as well as Kojima’s swansong from the franchise he built, it’s a big month for players.

• May 1 – 31, Super Mega Baseball 2 (Xbox One)
• May 16 – June 15, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Xbox One)
• May 1-15, Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage (Xbox 360)
• May 16-31, Vanquish (Xbox 360)

The sequel to Super Mega Baseball makes it debut as a Games with Gold title and also brings with it the addition of multiplayer to the franchise. With baseball games few and far between on Xbox (just this and RBI that I can think of) it should get a lot of interest from sports fans.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain blends the crazy storylines of past games in the franchise with vast open maps to create what might be the ultimate in Tactical Espionage Action. Definitely my choice of game for the month and it will keep players occupied for hours on end.

Sega have two of their 360 titles fill out the rest of the month. First up, retro gaming fans get their fair share of 16bit Genesis/Megadrive beat-em-ups with Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage. Lastly there’s Vanquish, a third person shooter from Bayonetta developer Platinum Games that adds a unique and stylish twist to the Gears of War formula.
