Never thought I would be getting this excited again over a new version of an old movie but 2020 was a strange year and perhaps it was the right time for Zack Snyder to finally have a chance to close the book on the Justice League film his way.
The original movie which was taken over by Joss Whedon I thought was okay at the time (just okay) but time has revealed that much of Snyder’s original footage was tossed away and soon we get to see for ourselves what that film was meant to be. It’s crazy to think that this is even possible and I shouldn’t be looking forward to it as much as I am but there seems to be genuine excitement for what’s coming. Having not only the Internet on his side but the actors too must have been too much for Warner Bros and DC to ignore. The original movie really felt like it lacked that singular vision and whether you are a fan or not one thing Snyder has in spades is vision. In the very least he and his team really know how to cut some awesome trailers that’s for sure.
I’ve already staked out a comfortable spot on the couch over the weekend for the film’s four hour run time… I think I should be able to survive it relatively intact. I’ve sat through the extended editions of The Lord of the Rings so this should be easy, I hope! Hard to know what the final verdict will be but there may never again be a movie that gets this level of rework done so long after its release so am curious to see the end result. 🙂

Really enjoyed this movie. Definitely worth watching, even if it is 4 hours long. Love how it was broken into chapters. Great stuff.
