I know this post is a bit late but the two main releases this week are the long awaited Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Mad Max.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
It was a tough call between picking this game up and Mad Max but this is the game I ended up getting first. I will say that it has taken a couple of hours to actually start to see the true scope of this game. Now that I’m four or so hours in I am really starting to get hooked. I think Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is going to be one huge game, with plenty of great stealth gameplay thrown in for good measure. Between this and Forza Motorsport 6 at the end of next week I think I’ll be very busy.
This has been getting pretty good critic reviews as well, but not quite as critically acclaimed as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Certainly quite a few of my online gaming friends have taken the plunge and picked this up over the other big release this week. So far the reports coming in is that it is a good solid open sandbox game with plenty of vehicular combat and some good brutal melee fights as well. No doubt I will get this game at some point down the track.
